Mid December we got a visit from my mom and dad. Back in the spring, my sisters and I bought my dad tickets to the National Finals Rodeo for his bday/father's day gift. If you haven't heard of the NFR, it's the super bowl of rodeos. Needless to say, I think my dad enjoyed himself and mom even enjoyed it as well. My dad said never in his life did he imagine he would be at the NFR! We did good sisters!
While they were here, we visited Valley of Fire state park one day.
Highlight of the trip to Valley of Fire included seeing this bighorn sheep in his natural environment. We watched him run up the rocks like it was nothing. Can you see him perched up at the top of the rock?
We also celebrated Christmas a few weeks early. The boys were so excited to open presents early.
