Our weekend was full of pumpkins! Our carving is complete and we have one scary and one Star Wars themed jack-o-lanterns. And cleaning out the pumpkin guts is still "gross" as Will puts it.

T thought it was funny to see the star wars ship design results
Here's the final product
Saturday, after T's soccer game, we headed up to a farm in Maryland. Last year, I went to three different pumpkin farms (one with the fam and two for field trips/birthday parties). The big one we went to last year, Cox Farm, is so big that I knew with three little ones on the loose it wouldn't be an easy outing by any means. So, this year we thought we would head up to one that we saw online called Summers Farm. It wasn't too far - about 30 min - to a town called Frederick, MD. It was really a fun farm and less crowded than others we have been to previously. They had a lot for the kids to do including a scavenger hunt throughout the farm. When you entered you received the card and had to find clues hidden throughout the farm. Really fun for W and he completed it all for the prize - a snazzy silly band. All in all it was a fun family day at the farm!
(on a totally different note: smilebox really needs to come out with a new pumpkin patch slide show. I think I have used this same one for 3 yrs now. HA!)
