Last Monday (MLK day), we took a little field trip to Harpers Ferry WV. S had been wanting to go and explore and since it was cold and we couldn't figure out what else to do, we decided to mark it off our "bucket list". West Virginia isn't as far as you think from us. It only took about 30-40 min to get there. Harpers Ferry has the Shenandoah and the Potomac Rivers plus it is part of the Appalachian trail. Pretty neat little town. The main goal was to go and eat lunch at the train car restaurant. It was quite the "joint". But it was pretty good food. Here's the boys in front of the place. The sun was shining at just the right angle to make this picture very hard to see.
