It does not seem like 7 years has gone by since I became a mom. This little boy brightens my day everyday. He's a joy to have as mine. He's growing up to be such a fine little man.
We celebrated as a family on Sunday by going to our favorite frozen yogurt place. I asked W if he wanted a cake or go to Zinga and get 7 toppings for 7 years. Of course he chose the toppings! His bowl looked absolutely disgusting but was the best thing in the world for a 7 year old boy!
On Monday, his actual birthday and the first day of summer vacation, we had a pretty lazy day. Since we celebrated his birthday a few weekends ago with the Great Angry Bird Sleepover, we decided to just have a spontaneous get together at our community pool. I emailed all our neighbor friends and told them we would be a the pool if they could come and cupcakes would be served. We had a great turnout with about 14 friends. Awesome time! W got his special day with his closest friends.
Here's one of the more popular gifts this year. He complained that he didn't get many toys but the boy got more money than he knows what to do with. The gift giving is getting harder and harder at this point. We got him some foam nunchuks. He is loving them! They learned some nunchuk forms at taekwondo last week and he thinks he's a pro now. HA!
